There is a history here of friends coming to help out with care for the cottage, barn and grounds in full or part exchange for their stay. E.g. the biodiverse paddock has a pond that needs tlc, there are times of year for seed collecting, pruning, berry picking, painting, cleaning, fixing or taking on a project like path laying or the erecting of bird boxes. There may also be opportunities for cat sitting. Please feel welcome to let us know if this is something you would be interested in.

In the longer run we hope to establish a fund to subsidise stays for those in need and who do not otherwise have the resource, eg those experiencing health challenges, burn out, crisis. If you wish to contribute to such a fund, please feel free to be in touch.

Please reach out if you are looking for a short stay that is longer than a week-long holiday let and we will look at cost and alignment around availability. Especially if you are working on a good cause or creative endeavour, or are bringing nourishment to the place in the form of eg art or ecology.
