18th century historic home of huntsman John Peel — now a protected wildlife haven - is opening its trusty doors to those seeking vacation & restoration in the old lands of lake and mountain, stone and light
John Peel Farm Cottage dates back to the early 18th century, and was the labourer's quarters on the childhood farmstead of the famous huntsman John Peel. It is now a haven for wildlife and warm hearted wanderers.
It is a place to come back to the simple things, to wider views and to yourself... To be anchored by steady old stone, walks, tea and time, and billions of wheeling stars.
Welcome, welcome, whoever you are. We hope you may find here, as we have done, rhythms of bright revival.
“It is very simple to be happy, but it is very difficult to be simple.”
